Horseback Riding Lessons
Thousands of Happy Customers!
Y has been in the program for more than a year and K is new but the girls love it a lot. The teachers are amazing, professional and on point. The girls are learning so much. It takes a village to raise a child, and you are part of the village that has a positive effect on raising my girls. Thank you again and blessings to Bridges.
This July you had my granddaughter, the G twins, A and B for instruction when the Horse Camp did not meet their expectations. They both found your instruction very informative. You may remember, at just thirteen, they had spent two weeks just prior to coming to California as Junior Counselors at the Shenandoah Riding Centers Summer Camp in Galena, Illinois. At the Galena facility, they had numerous hours of trail riding western style, the reason they were ask by management to help with the 5 through 11-year old’s that enjoy summer horse camp... With Bridges Equestrian, the riding changed to English with the Hunt Seat. They enjoyed this challenge and upon returning to Illinois found through their school the IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association). A local member, Millennium Farm, and upon being tested were accepted into their program. Many of the requested drills were taught by you. And Astated to the Illinois instructor “Dana” that “Allie” in California taught me that. I’m sure they will spend next summer with us again. And you will have the opportunity to weigh their progress over the winter. Oh, they had to purchase the “Show Costume” …. Breeches, Boots, etc. …. You will remember they were wearing their cowgirl boots and Shenandoah tee shirts while here.
I'd been struggling with my daughter; she was frustrated at school, every other activity we tried for her was a bust. She got kicked out of soccer, marched out of dance class, gymnastics, swimming and I had been getting calls and emails weekly for behavior issues with classmates and teachers. I read somewhere that horseback riding was a good way for kids to learn self control, get exercise, develop compassion and learn responsibility. I called and spoke to Ruthanna about getting her in lessons and about my concerns. She was sympathetic, offered me fantastic advice and we got my daughter signed up. Five weeks later, I have an entirely different child. So far she's had lessons with Lu, Lauren and Rhi and each time she's come back full of pride and confidence. They set the bar high for her and have been gently guiding her to be the best she can be. She feels safe, believed in and important. I've watched the staff not only with my child, but with other riders; they're professional, patient, compassionate and are fantastic mentors to these kids. This is, bar none, the best thing we've ever done for my child, and Bridges Equestrian stables and staff have made an enormous difference in her life. Absolutely, ride here.
Thanks to the entire staff for what a great job they all did this past Saturday when our 15 Boy Scouts from Troop 606 (in Irvine) came to complete their Horsemanship Merit Badge! Your crew was very professional, competent and friendly and the boys had a great experience! The place was beautiful and the horses were obviously very well cared for and loved! We look forward to bringing out another group of boys in the future! Thanks again - a lot of our boys (ages 12-17) had never really been on a horse - so we really were pleased with your attention to safety while keeping it fun!
Marcie - Troop 606
Thank you for a fantastic birthday party. The girls (and my son) had such a great time and everyone on the staff was so patient (especially with my lively son). I think you may have made future students out of a few of the riders today. I could not have been more pleased with how it went.
I wanted to get something very special for my hubby's bday, so I arranged for a private horseback riding lesson for him! Luckily for me, I managed to find Ruth Anna at Bridges Equestrian Center (aka Bridges Training Stable) and she really went out of her way to accomodate us. The equestrian center is filled with beautiful horses and is very clean and well kept. Every one was very helpful and friendly, especially Ruth Anna and Lauren (the instructor). My hubby's horse was named "Scooby Doo" and he was a really sweet boy. The lesson started with proper grooming and putting the saddle on the horse. Then, it's about 45 minutes in the ring where you learn how to handle your horse properly, and how to ride without damaging your goodies! The lesson ends with a short ride around the center and with a brush down of the horse. All in all, a fantastic experience! I think we'll be back in the spring for another lesson. Maybe this time I'll get on a horse too!
Bridges Equestrian is the greatest place for our family! We have two daughters. One is in Pony Pal lessons which are for 4-7 year olds. They are a little bit shorter than the regular lessons and are one on one with an instructor. Our other daughter takes group lessons at the same time with another instructor and I am taking lessons in the mornings while the girls are in school! It is such a fun activity for our family to share! We had one of my daughter s birthday parties here over the summer as well and had a great time! What a fantastic place!
We have attended several of the horse camps offered by Bridges over the past few summers. My children absolutely love the instructors and the ponies. The children get to ride for at least 45 minutes a day on their own horse and then spend the rest of the morning learning about horses and taking care of them. We will be back and will send friends.
