Horseback Riding Laguna Hills

QuizWhen Nellie Gail was originally planned out way back in the 60’s, it was decided to keep that “Ranch” feel and develop an Equestrian Community.  They succeeded in developing a beautiful sprawling community that many resident equestrians enjoy, but are finding it isolated and hard to interact with other equestrians.

Many of our Bridges Equestrian students live in Nellie Gail and choose to ride with us at Sycamore Trails Stables in San Juan Capistrano.  They choose the camaraderie of other horse people, and the safety and knowledge gathered in this one place.

These residents realize riders are much more safe riding amongst other people, and can take advantage of the instruction and trainers available.  This is very important for our younger riders who should not be out riding by themselves, or even with their friends, in a busy un-fenced setting such as Nellie Gail.

These local equestrians decide instead, to ride at a near-by commercial boarding facility.  With programs such as Bridges Equestrian School of Horsemanship, they can take advantage of great programs such as horse camps, birthday parties, competitions, scout badges, and horse shows.  Our own Show Team, (B.E.S.T), competes in local and county shows offered right at our facility, as well as “A” Rated and National shows right up the road and down the freeway at Del Mar.

Young riders and adults too can join the United States Pony Club for tons of fun in great experiences such as cross-country jumping, trail rides, polo, games, rallies, quiz competitions, all things horse care and horse management… everything you could want to do with a horse.

So perhaps the best way to ride in Laguna Hills, is to drive 5 minutes up the street to “San Juan Capistrano, the Equestrian Capital of the West Coast!”  We hope you’ll join us!
